Announcements
February 9, 2005
Attention Comwavz customers:
We will be making significant changes to our network over the next few weeks to increase network reliability and enhance bandwidth control. These adjustments will result in a change of your IP address. A vast majority of our subscribers will not notice this change.
However: If you are operating a business and/or have outside clients that connect into your computer(s), you may have special needs (PCAnywhere / Terminal Server, Domain Names, etc.) that will require us to work more closely with you during the change to minimize impact on your network and / or the services it provides. If you feel you may fall into this category, please contact us at your earliest convenience. We may be able to make individual arrangements with you, so you can make necessary equipment configuration changes before you are assigned a new IP address.
NOTE: This change will be taking place beginning on Monday, February 21st, 2005. Please be sure to call our office before this date if you would like to retrieve your new address before the change occurs.
If you are unsure if this will affect you, or if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us (toll free) at 866-426-6928.

Attention Comwavz customers in the following counties: Allen, Auglaize, Erie, Hancock, Hardin, Huron, Marion, Putnam, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wyandot:
We will begin testing of a new Email filtering service on
Monday, which will filter out Junk Mail and Virus Infected messages
before they reach your mailbox. You can configure the level of SPAM
filtering according to the types of messages (Sexually Explicit, Get
Rich Quick, etc), you can specify email addresses that should be
automatically blocked or allowed to pass through the filter, and you
can disable the SPAM filter completely if you prefer. The service
sends you a notification when it is activated, and also notifies you
when mail is filtered. You can log into a web-based message center
to view your quarantined (filtered) mail, which will be purged
periodically by the system. This service is provided free of charge
with your service, and should make your email service much more
useful. You can expect to receive a message early next week telling
you the service has been activated, and the message will include
information on where to go to login to your message center. If you
have any questions about this service, please feel free to call our
office at 1-866-426-6928.
We will also be bringing the old www.comwavz.com website back up
soon, and will be setting up a new webmail system for users with
@thewavz.com email addresses. We will continue to make announcements
on the website as we make changes that impact your internet
service.

Attention Comwavz customers in the following counties: Allen, Auglaize, Erie, Hancock, Hardin, Huron, Marion, Putnam, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wyandot:
As of Monday, November 15th, WatchTV has redirected mail records for thewavz.com to a new mail server that we are operating. Mail accounts could not be easily transferred, and because of issues that customers were having with the original email system, the domain was redirected so we could control mail services and correct problems ourselves. Unfortunately, mail accounts could not be transferred from the old system to the new system in a timely manner. For this reason, we are setting up new mail accounts on the new server, so you will need to contact our office and provide your username and password. The previous webmail system at http://webmail01.comwavz.net is still operational and can be used to access mail that was sent prior to Monday, November 15th. We are not sure how long this system will be accessible, so please login as soon as possible to access old mail.
